I am Dr. Laurie Bruce, a clinical psychologist, mindfulness coach, and host of the podcast From Both Sides of the Couch. For more than 25 years, I have had the privilege of providing psychotherapy, consultation, and supervision to thousands of clients, students, therapists, and other helping professionals.
Throughout that time, I have learned that many of us spend so much energy caring for others that we gradually lose connection with ourselves. I believe helping professionals shouldn't have to sacrifice themselves in order to make a difference.
Many therapists, healthcare professionals, coaches, educators, and caregivers find themselves struggling with burnout, compassion fatigue, chronic stress, or a growing sense of disconnection despite understanding the importance of mindfulness, self-compassion, healthy boundaries, and emotional well-being. The challenge is rarely a lack of knowledge. More often, it is finding the time, support, and space to consistently practice these skills in their own lives.
My work focuses on mindfulness, nervous system regulation, resilience, self-compassion, and sustainable well-being. Whether through my podcast, newsletter, speaking, or Resilient & Restored, my goal is to help people reconnect with themselves, restore their well-being, and sustain the work they love.
If you are searching for a more sustainable way of living and working, I invite you to join me. Together, we can explore mindfulness, resilience, authenticity, boundaries, emotional well-being, and the small practices that help us feel more connected to ourselves and the lives we want to live.

This was my first group coaching experience and I loved it!!!! When people join together to support one another amazing things happen!!! I adored this experience and feel blessed to have been involved and my ability to help others with my life experiences and learn stuff from others!!! This is a great addition to my weekly therapy and it gives me a positive outlet to be vulunerable! ❤️

This format is such a wonderful tool to see that you are not alone and ideas for what is working for some and tap into your motivation towards progress in any and all areas of life. The number in this group was over-whelming till I got onto just concentrate more on your buddy and self... I appreciated the time and effort and know I will be back for more.... Even when life is good, it's important to be striving forward so we don't stagnate and a professional ear and guide is so important..What a Blessing you are!!!!!! Thank YOU!!!!!
